The Library Of Celsus.

The Library of Celsus is a n ancient Roman building in Ephesus built in honour of  the Roman Senator Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus by his son and was completed in 135AD. Celsus was buried in a sarcophagus beneath the library. It was unusual to be buried in a library or even within the city limits, so this was a great honour for Celsus. The Library was the third richest library in ancient times and held 12,000 scrolls.
